First time this location and probably have only been to a few Royal Farms ever. They are known for their fried chicken, but all I needed was fuel and a wash and did not enter the store, nor have any staff interaction.

The store presents nicely and is big, bright and fresh. I assume the store is newer. The parking lot is huge on the three island 12 pump gas station. This makes it easy to maneuver which is great! A lot of debris was spotted on the periphery. Trash cans were within their boundaries. None of the pumps had wash or towels. However, they strangely all had squeegees.

The pump I used was clean and processed my card promptly. Fuel pumped quickly and a receipt generated with a discounted car was for $14 for their best wash. That's still pricey in my book. There are nearby air pumps.

The car wash is located behind the store. There is lots of room to maneuver and when lines form space for several cars with no problem. A trash can prior to entering is a good idea. Everything was clean and maintained. My code work med first try. The wash promptly started was done with drive-thru dryer within approximately 5 minutes. This quick timing seemed surprising for the best wash. There is pay for vacuum service.

Once done I parked and inspected. It seemed like a better wash than some. However their was still a light dirty residue on the rear window. Also with no paper towel available I could not wipe off side mirrors.

I ordered three chicken legs, mac and cheese and a side of cheese. The girl working the counter proceeded to give me legs with no meat on them. So I politely asked her if she could take them out and give me new ones. She just threw them back into the pan and still gave me ugly chicken. I walked out because I was mad. Before I walked out she stated with an attitude I NEED YOUR TICKET. Gave me a nasty sarcastic look too. I know to put the ticket in the basket I've been there several times. I'm so disappointed because I do like your chicken a lot. Every time my husband comes to get chicken it's the same thing. It's a hassle to get fresh chicken. They want to give the old nasty chicken. I used to work for Farm Fresh Supermarkets who sold chicken and I am also a Chef. I know how chicken should look and this chicken I got today is unsatisfactory. Fire that girl she's nasty.

Excellent location with great chicken. The touch screens work great for ordering their fantastic chicken. You quickly forget you are at a gas station. Plenty of options to pay so you can be on your way.

Finally had the chance to review this location after going here several times. Love the breakfast options and the ability to grab and go. The chicken tastes great, but not a big fan of the sides such as the Mac and cheese that lacks flavor. Great $1 fountain drink option.

Love the rewards prices with the cheap gas. Glad they finally have one close to home. Will continue to visit to fill up as much as possible.

I haven't been to a Royal Farms in years!!! And when I've been, it's only to get gas and 5-hr energy drinks for my long drives on Route 13.

Alas, there's one on the border of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach and I finally got the chance to try their famous fried chicken. I have to say it's very flavorful but I was missing the crunchy factor. My mom really enjoyed it because she said she was able to bite right into it, but personally, I like super crunchy bits on my fried chicken. I thought it was just a little bit salty but its okay. Better than being under seasoned and dry. Order on the computer screen, take your printed receipt to the self check out register to pay and wait for your number to be called when they're finished getting your food together.

If you're not here for the fried chicken, they serve other convenient hot foods and breakfast all day, I believe. All the drinks, coffee and self serve milkshake stations are in the far left corner. My favorite was the ICEE machine!

There's a couple tables inside and outside to enjoy your quick meal. Over all, a decent and clean one stop shop! Hope they open more in the area... It'll give Wawa a run for its money!
